Next Walk Saturday 14th August 2010 Mountain Wood Length of walk is about 7 miles/11 kilometres. Meeting at 2.00 p.m. at Mountain Wood car park. Grid reference is OS Map 145 – 092509. This walk will take about 3.5 hours. The car park is off Green Dene. Take the A246 from Givons Grove through Effingham. After about a mile from Effingham, turn left onto Green Dene. The car park is about a mile up Green Dene on the right. This is a good ramble, which does have some ‘ups and downs’. Quite a lot of the route is through woodland, along the North Downs Way. We will be having our ‘after walk’ drink in the Duke of Wellington pub, in nearby East Horsley.
