Counting the “guests in our gardens”

Today marks the start of Creation Time; our worship at Trinity this morning focused on giving thanks to God to whom the world belongs, and who has placed us in this world as guests alongside all creatures.

Taking part in a wildlife survey can be a fun way to help celebrate and look after our natural environment. Why not take 10 minutes to count the insects that visit a particular patch of flowers in your garden? The UK Pollinator Monitoring Scheme continues until the end of September, and anyone can take part – the more, the better!

The video explains how to prepare and what to look for, and you can download the count form here. You can then submit your results online – or bring the completed form to Trinity and we’ll do it for you.

Happy counting!
