Harvest Festival service 27 September
Join us for our Harvest service at 11:00, led by our Minister with contributions from Revd Alex Mabbs. Alex is a URC minister working on the interface between faith and environmental issues such as climate change and conservation based at Brighthelm Church and Community Centre in Brighton.
As in recent years, our harvest giving will be directed towards the work of Wimbledon Foodbank. If you have pre-registered to come to the church service please bring non-perishable items which can be used by the Foodbank. Items urgently needed at present are chocolate, crisps, cereal bars and treats; 1kg bags of sugar; squash drink; tinned custard/rice pudding; tinned soup. Items can be placed in the shopping trolley which will be placed on the church forecourt. If you are unable to attend in person but would like to make a financial contribution, you can make an online financial donation direct to Wimbledon Foodbank (Gift Aid forms available).
The service will be live-streamed at 11:00am (and the video will remain online for ‘catch-up’ viewing later) over on our YouTube channel (click here).
The Bible readings are Psalm 104.1a, 14-30 and Matthew 20.1-16. If you would like to follow the text of the service, you can read/download it by clicking here.
