Sunday 15 March
Our Mothering Sunday Service for all the family will include the baptism of a baby girl. Children and young people will be taking part in the Service, and presenting mothers with flowers.

Everyone is very welcome.  The Service will begin at 11am.

The Day of Prayer service for 2015 has been written by the Christian women of the Bahamas.  Although written by women, all are invited.  Increasingly men and children are participating. Over 36 hours, 170 countries will have taken part. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland over 5,000 services will be held, focusing on the theme of “Jesus said to them, ‘Do you know what I have done to you?’.”

The Bahamas is an expanse of water with scattered islands, covering approximately, 100,000 square miles of the Atlantic Ocean.

All are welcome to the local services with a Bahamas theme on Friday 6 March

  • Christchurch, Copse Hill at 10.30am
  • Martin Way Methodist Church at 8.00pm.

On Wednesday 4 March the Wednesday Social Group will be delighted to welcome the “Nonsuch Ringers”, a group of hand bell players.

All are most welcome to come and hear the entertainment. The afternoon will begin at 2.30pm in the Mansel Road Centre, and the entertainment will be followed by a special tea.  Come and bring your friends.

We will be celebrating Chinese New Year (the Year of the Goat) with a church supper on Saturday 28 February at 6.30pm in the Mansel Road Centre.

This is always a very popular event, but numbers are limited so book now to avoid disappointment!

Tickets:  Adults £10, children £6; family (2 adults & 2 children) £30. Price includes full Chinese meal with jasmine tea (bring your own wine or soft drinks, if required).

This meeting, at Wimbledon and District Synagogue (7.30pm – 9.30pm), will be addressed by Dr Jane Clements, Director of CCJ and will include a talk by Revd Mary Bide, Rector of St Mary’s Church, Wimbledon, about her recent trip to Israel on a CCJ tour.
