\"\"<\/a>The Moderators of the General Assembly of the United Reformed Church (URC), the Revd Nigel Uden and Derek Estill, have offered the following pr<\/strong>ayer as the UK and the rest of the world come to terms with the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/header>\n
\u2018God is our refuge and strength,
\na very present help in trouble.\u2019
\nPsalm 46:1, NRSVAs so much is re-shaped by Coronavirus Covid 19,\u00a0let us pray with<\/p>\n

people left unwell, beckoned by death or bereaved;
\npeople providing professional health care and advice, looking after loved ones at home or working to create treatments and cures;
\npeople shaping the response of nations and neighbourhoods, of commerce and industry, of service and voluntary organisations and of communities of faith;
\npeople who are anxious or afraid, alone or isolated.<\/p>\n

Living, loving God,<\/span><\/strong>
\nwe praise you,<\/span><\/strong>
\nand through times of peril we lean into you,<\/span><\/strong>
\nfor in Jesus Christ<\/span><\/strong>
\nyou have trodden paths as difficult as ours,<\/span><\/strong>
\nrevealing there a love that nothing defeats,<\/span><\/strong>
\na love that bears us through.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Even as we strive to behave responsibly,<\/span><\/strong>
\nand to care reliably,<\/span><\/strong>
\nso we feel after you<\/span><\/strong>
\nthat in these uncertain times we might trust you are with us,<\/span><\/strong>
\nour refuge and strength,<\/span><\/strong>
\nand our faith, hope and love might be renewed,<\/span><\/strong>
