His books include seven of religious history, most recently <em>The Journey to the Mayflower<\/em> published in 2020 by Hodder &amp; Stoughton. He has made numerous appearances as a commentator on UK television and radio.\u00a0His newspaper\u00a0and magazine work includes contributions to the Guardian, the BBC, the Wall Street Journal, History Today, the Yorkshire Post and the Church Times.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"color_11\"><span class=\"wixGuard\">\u200b<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_9\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"color_11\">According to his website,\u00a0Stephen has performed stand up comedy for 15 years, most recently <em>Speed Christianity<\/em>, a comic lecture that covers 2000 years of church history in an hour.
