{"id":16803,"date":"2021-04-04T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-04-04T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trinitywimbledon.org\/?p=16803"},"modified":"2021-04-17T11:41:37","modified_gmt":"2021-04-17T10:41:37","slug":"sir-david-suchet-reads-st-johns-gospel-in-full","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.trinitywimbledon.org\/index.php\/sir-david-suchet-reads-st-johns-gospel-in-full\/","title":{"rendered":"Sir David Suchet reads St John\u2019s Gospel in full"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">This afternoon, Westminster Abbey shared a film made specially for them by Sir David Suchet, in which he reads the whole of St John\u2019s Gospel in the historic Jerusalem Chamber at the Abbey. \u00a0It was screened on the <a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=PKiAXVxOm6o\">Abbey\u2019s YouTube channel<\/a>\u00a0on Easter Sunday. <strong>It is free to view and will remain online to watch on-demand afterwards.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Sir David made the recording earlier this month in the <a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westminster-abbey.org\/about-the-abbey\/history\/jerusalem-chamber\">Jerusalem Chamber<\/a>, which is one of the most significant rooms in the Deanery of the Abbey. \u00a0It is where Bibles have been worked on throughout history, including King James I\u2019s Authorised Version of the Bible in 1611, the Revised Version in 1870 , the New English Bible in 1961, and the Revised English Bible in 1989.
