It is with deep sadness that we pray for peace and for the people of Ukraine.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
God who sees the weakness<\/div>\n
in acts of naked aggression;<\/div>\n
God who feels the fear<\/div>\n
in moments of acute helplessness:<\/div>\n
cure this warring madness,<\/div>\n
and shield all who fall in harm\u2019s way.<\/div>\n
Leach the poison from the mind<\/div>\n
that thinks strength is shown<\/div>\n
in a bullying force.<\/div>\n
And may an equal strength in solidarity<\/div>\n
give resolve to those<\/div>\n
whose aim is to protect, and respect,<\/div>\n
not just the ones we call our own,<\/div>\n
but all with whom we can share<\/div>\n
a better, more peaceful world.<\/div>\n
Amen.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
