This deadly trail of havoc has affected 33 million people, many of whom are now displaced.<\/p>\n<p>The Revd Memona Shahbaz, a United Reformed Church (URC) Minister from Pakistan, offers this prayer:<\/p>\n<p>Our loving, merciful and compassionate father,<br \/>\nwe acknowledge that you are creator of this universe, and everything is in your control.<br \/>\n\u201cYou are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.\u201d Psalm 42:1<br \/>\nAt this time of trouble in Pakistan, we pray for all Pakistani people who are victims of the devastating flood.<\/p>\n<p>Especially we pray for,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>those who have lost their loved ones, livelihood, livestock and homes.<\/li>\n<li>Pakistani government, local charities, churches, and individuals who are trying to help all<\/li>\n<li>All countries who are standing in solidarity and helping Pakistan at this challenging time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Help everyone and send your peace and comfort in this chaotic situation.<br \/>\nWe ask this in Jesus\u2019 precious name.<br \/>\nAmen<\/p>\n<p>The Revd Memona Shabaz, is Minister within the URC\u2019s Southern Synod for the following churches, St. Barnabas United Church, Broadway United Church, Trinity Willingdon Church, Emmanuel Church, and The Haven Church.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A third of Pakistan has been completely flooded, killing at least 1,136 people.
