You’ve seen the news. A series of devastating earthquakes have hit southern Turkey (now known as T\u00fcrkiye) and north-west Syria. The first 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit in the early hours of Monday morning when people were sleeping. There have since been a number of aftershocks and a second 7.5 magnitude earthquake. Over 100,000 people have been killed, many more are injured and local responders are searching through the rubble for survivors.<\/p>\n

People have been left without shelter in freezing winter conditions, with humanitarian needs expected to grow in the coming days.<\/p>\n

The DEC have launched an emergency Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal.\u00a0DEC member charities urgently need your support to help provide food, heaters, blankets, medical care, clean drinking water and shelter.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
