{"id":21513,"date":"2023-12-30T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-30T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/urc\/urc-daily-devotion-30-december-2023"},"modified":"2023-12-30T06:00:00","modified_gmt":"2023-12-30T06:00:00","slug":"urc-daily-devotion-30-december-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.trinitywimbledon.org\/index.php\/urc-daily-devotion-30-december-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"URC Daily Devotion 30 December 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Philippians 2: 4 &#8211; 11<\/strong><br \/>Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others. &nbsp;Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus,<\/p>\n<p>who, though he was in the form of God,<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; did not regard equality with God<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; as something to be exploited,<br \/>but emptied himself,<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; taking the form of a slave,<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; being born in human likeness.<br \/>And being found in human form,<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; he humbled himself<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; and became obedient to the point of death\u2014<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; even death on a cross.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore God also highly exalted him<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; and gave him the name<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; that is above every name,<br \/>so that at the name of Jesus<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; every knee should bend,<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; in heaven and on earth and under the earth,<br \/>and every tongue should confess<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; that Jesus Christ is Lord,<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; to the glory of God the Father.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reflection<\/strong><br \/>Whether you are thinking of making some specific New Year resolutions, or focusing on more general priorities or approaches for the coming year, this passage may provide guidance: \u201cLet the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What was in Jesus\u2019 mind?
