‘Embracing Eldership’ is an event that enables URC elders to come together\u00a0for mutual encouragement, to share experiences and receive\u00a0refreshment, whilst exploring pressing issues related to the realities of\u00a0being an elder today.<\/p>\n

The theme of this year\u2019s elders\u2019 event is \u201cResourcing our Elders\u201d. We will\u00a0be considering what it is to be an elder drawing on the material recently\u00a0designed for the United Reformed Church by Revd Peter Ball (Eastern\u00a0Synod Mission Development Officer) and Ruth Whitehead (South Western\u00a0Synod Moderator).<\/p>\n

There will also be focussed sessions giving guidance on the roles and\u00a0responsibilities of elders. As always at Westminster, a key part of the\u00a0event will be the opportunity to worship together, engage with the Bible,\u00a0and talk in a friendly atmosphere with fine food and relaxed company.
