Following a shortened morning service on Sunday 18 May, there will be a Church Meeting for all Trinity members and friends.
Church Meeting in the URC
In the United Reformed Church, the Church Meeting stands at the heart of our spiritual life. We believe that the gathered community discerns God’s will together, that Christ speaks through the prayerful deliberation of all members.
Each voice matters in this sacred conversation. When we gather, we participate in a tradition that stretches back to our Congregational and Presbyterian roots, affirming that Christ is present “where two or three are gathered” in his name.
Meeting on a Sunday
We’ve deliberately scheduled this meeting on Sunday immediately following worship to enable as many people as possible to attend. The morning service will be shortened to accommodate our meeting, which will take place in the Old Hall.
Tea and coffee will be served as usual, and you are welcome to bring a packed lunch if you wish. We aim to conclude the meeting soon after 1pm. Agenda papers will be circulated next week, giving everyone time to prayerfully consider the matters before us.
All are welcome
While voting is reserved for church members, friends of Trinity are warmly invited to attend and participate in discussions. If you’re newer to Trinity and curious about how we function as a community, the Church Meeting offers an insight into our shared life and decision-making.
