We are gradually rebuilding our programme of activities following the closures during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Over preceding years, in addition to special events, such as the spectacularly successful musicals (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in 2014, The Baptist in 2015, and Whistle Down the Wind in 2016), and our five annual Christmas Tree Festivals from 2015, we had regular activities happening each week.
For example, the Wednesday Social Group was a regular social gathering of mostly retired young at heart members and friends. The meeting took place in the Mansel Road Centre on the first Wednesday of the month at 2pm with a varied programme or musical entertainment, speakers on a variety of topics, quiz afternoons and an annual summer outing to Richmond Park taking tea at Pembroke Lodge. So far, this has been replaced by Summer and Christmas Tea events, but it is hoped to rebuild the Group’s programme in due course.
