Maundy Thursday – A Service of Shadows

The service at 7.30pm on Maundy Thursday, 2 April, will include Holy Communion and Tenebrae.  It will be led by the Revd Dr Jacob Bali (Minister).

Tenebrae is a contemplative service that focuses on the suffering of Christ. During this Service, readings are presented that detail the story of Christ’s passion, while the music evokes a sense of his pathos. The power of silence and darkness that accompanies the service adds to the dramatic effect of this momentous day. As the lights are gradually extinguished, those in attendance are encouraged to reflect on the depth of Christ’s suffering, death and love.

Everyone will be very welcome to the Service.
