Trinity United Reformed Church Wimbledon
A fresh new website for the Southern Synod has just been launched. It’s hoped that it will become a more vibrant and useful resource for people in and outside the Synod.
“From South London to Kent to parts of Surrey and Sussex, whether coastal or country, urban or suburban we are God’s people in 160 local congregations committed to supporting and resourcing one another to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ. Together, we seek to be Christ’s people, transformed by the gospel, committed to making a difference to the world’s kingdoms as we live Christ’s kingdom.”

Do take a look – under “News” there is a piece about a visit to Trinity’s Christmas Tree Festival!
Could you swap your comfy bed for a cardboard box and a sleeping bag? Sleep Easy invites you to do just that for one night (Friday 26 February) to raise awareness of homelessness in our community.
Not only will this be a challenging and eye-opening experience through which you will be making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people, but also an evening of fun and activities. Plus, through raising sponsorship from your colleagues, friends and family, you will be supporting our work with homeless people across south west London.
Sleep Easy is a national YMCA fundraising event, which invites people to ‘sleep rough so others don’t have to’.
Click here for further information and to sign up for the Wimbledon Sleep Easy event.
Who is it for?
The Sleep Easy fundraising event in Wimbledon is suitable for children aged 12 and above. (Participants under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult and/or have written permission from parents or a carer.)
Sponsorship
We hope that you will also raise lots of sponsorship money that will go towards supporting our work with homeless people in the local community.
You can sponsor the event now: text EASY00 followed by the amount you would like to donate to 70070.

Thank you to all who contributed to our Christmas collections.
The total amount collected was £1174 and this will be divided between Crisis and Faith in Action.
The Festival raised a total of £5,900 which is considered a tremendous result given it was its first year. There were some significant initial set-up costs to absorb such as tree stands and electrical equipment. These are non-recurring and with all of the help plus donations from Trinity volunteers means a final figure of £4,000 will be divided between Trinity and Crisis.
