Choir

Trinity’s friendly and very experienced four-part SATB choir sing at every Sunday morning service, except when Communion or All Age Worship is taking place.

We support hymn singing in the congregation as well as providing choral introits and anthems during the service. We also sing occasionally at funerals and weddings. Our repertoire encompasses everything from the Renaissance of Tallis and Byrd through to 20th Century Faure, Rutter and Chilcott, and the highlights of our year are Trinity’s Carol Service on the Sunday evening before Christmas, surrounded by a host of beautiful candlelit trees, and our Palm Sunday morning service, where this year we performed a number of movements from J S Bach’s St Matthew Passion.

We rehearse on most Friday Evenings, between 20:00 and 21:30 either in church or our adjacent Mansel Road Centre.

We are always looking for new members for all voice parts, and unlike choral societies, there is no charge to sing with us, nor compulsory attendance every week.
